Soup is a comforting meal that can be enjoyed any time of the year, and adding super hot peppers to the mix can make it even more satisfying. To make a hot pepper soup, start by sautéing chopped hot peppers, onions, and garlic in oil until the onions are translucent. Next, add chicken or vegetable stock, canned tomatoes, and seasonings to the pan. Let the soup simmer until the vegetables are soft, then blend the mixture until it is smooth. Serve with a sprinkle of cheese and a dollop of sour cream, if desired.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-2 super hot peppers, seeds and stems removed, thinly sliced
- 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: cilantro, sour cream, cheese, avocado, etc.
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until it is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and hot peppers to the pan and cook for an additional minute, stirring frequently.
- Pour in the broth, canned tomatoes, and cumin, and bring the soup to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the flavors have combined and the vegetables are tender.
- Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender and puree until smooth. Return the soup to the saucepan and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the hot pepper soup with your preferred toppings, and enjoy!

Notes:
Be sure to handle super hot peppers with care and use gloves if necessary. It's important to finely chop the peppers to distribute the heat evenly throughout the dish. If you prefer a milder version, you can substitute milder peppers or reduce the amount of super hot peppers used. Additionally, you can adjust the amount of spices and seasonings to taste.
